Who we are-

Green Xtrax is a medical cannabis company that specializes in the production, manufacturing, and sale of organic cannabis and oils. Our operations include: indoor and outdoor cultivation, processing and product manufacturing, oil extraction and refinement, wholesale and retail sales.

What makes us different-

• One of only 14 MOFGA certified “Clean Cannabis” producers in the state of Maine- This certifies that our cannabis has been cultivated sustainably using organic methods and tested for contaminants. All Green Xtrax branded products are made with/from MOFGA certified material.

• We put patients over profits- The goal of Green Xtrax has always been to provide a reliable source of high-quality organic cannabis medicine to those who need it at a reasonable price. We are technically “caregivers” and we are not in this industry for the money nor are we in it for the thrill or the clout. In fact, we aren’t even in this industry to grow cannabis but evidentially that is the most reliable way to ensure our products are always of the highest quality and value.

• Priority on education- We don’t hire sales people, we employ consultants who are well versed in cannabis science. Federal prohibition has made it practically impossible to study and research cannabis and as a result there are a lot of misconceptions out there. We encourage patients to ask questions and give us feedback.

How it all started-

Green Xtrax’s roots can be traced back to the early 2000’s after founder CJ Hagan was diagnosed with life-threatening tumors. After major surgeries left him debilitated and frustrated with the side-effects of conventional treatment, he saught alternative methods, one of them being a regiment of cannabis oil. CJ became one of the first people in New Jersey to obtain a medical marijuana prescription but quickly realized sourcing high quality organic oil was practically impossible due to the restrictions of the state’s fledgling cannabis program. As a result he decided to learn how to grow and extract the cannabis himself despite the illegality at the time. The results of this natural treatment proved remarkably positive and to this day CJ’s tumors have never returned.

Despite being a medical marijuana patient, CJ was arrested and federally convicted for cannabis. After his sentence he met his partner Haley, an agribusiness student who had plans to own and operate her own cannabis cultivation facility. Together they decided it would be best to move to a place where cannabis laws were more liberal. They sold their possessions, bought a van, traveled west, and began looking for a better opportunity in California. They ended up in the Emerald Triangle, living in their van while working on commercial medical cannabis farms. This experience proved to be minumental for the development of Green Xtrax. It was in California where they first learned the techniques of light deprivation farming, organic living soil cultivation, and solventless oil extraction.

In 2016 CJ and Haley moved to Maine and began to form Green Xtrax, an organic “soil to oil” light deprivation farm and oil manufacturer. Being an adamant proponent of organic practices, Green Xtrax began to produce solventless rosin oil from organic sun-grown flowers and was one of the first companies on the east coast to manufacture solventless oil vaporizer cartridges aka rosin carts.

Surprisingly the solventless rosin vape cartridges didn’t take off at first. Vape cartridges were new on the scene at the time and most people weren’t quite sure what they were even vaping, they just sought the clearest and lightest looking distillate oils. Anyone familiar with cannabis rosin will tell you it is far from the clearest or lightest cannabis oil you can put in a cartridge, but it is probably the most pleasurable smoke regardless. After realizing it’s very difficult to change public perception with a novel product, it was decided it would be best to pivot to what the market demanded- distillate oil vape cartridges.

Distillation is a refinement technique used to remove molecular impurities from oil. The resulting product is about 90% pure, even more in some cases, and is regarded as the one of the purest forms of cannabis oil. After a little help from his brother, a chemical engineer, and a consult with one of the country’s leading cannabis extraction companies, CJ was able to conquer the art of cannabis oil distillation. In 2016 this put Green Xtrax on the map; the demand for clean cannabis “distillate” was insatiable and very few people had figured out how to produce it yet.

The rest is history-

We launched our first distillate oil cartridges and all-in-one vape pens soon after and never looked back: On Jan 1, 2018 Green Xtrax was legally organized. In 2019 we launched our first delivery service “Green Xpress”. In 2020 we received our clean cannabis certification from MOFGA. In 2021 we opened our first retail store in Limerick Maine. In 2022 we won “best sun-grown flower” at the High 95 cup and placed second in the indoor category. In 2023 we received the award for “most innovative product” from the High 95 cup for our oil applicators.
